Niklas Krieg

He was born in Villingen-Schwenningen on 14 January 1994. In summer 2011, he finished a two-year’s term at a school of commerce. He intends to go abroad (preferably to the USA) in order to improve his language skills. After his time overseas he would like to start an education as professional rider.

Niklas started to ride ponies when he was a young boy. He was extremely successful with the ponies and changed to big horses at the age of 13. His companion for many competitions was the experienced Mefa’s Libero. At the end of 2007, he took over Mefa’s Libero from Barbara Steurer-Collée. In 2008, he competed his first ‘S’ class jumping competition being 14 years old. Later this year, he participated at the German junior championships. In the season 2011 he celebrated his first ‘S’ class victory.

• 2011 Braunschweig: victory of the HGW offspring ‚Bundeschampionat’


• 2011 CSIO/J Arezzo: 3rd place Nations Cup with the German team


• 2011 CSIO/J Arezzo: 5th place Grand Prix


• 2011 CSI/J Mannheim: 2nd place in the juniors‘ final


• 2011 CSIO/J Comporta: European Championships for Juniors: 6th place with the team


• 2011 Freudenberg: qualified for the finals and ranked 15th in the final ranking
